Bacon Cutter Media is the data controller for personal data processed via https://webmodtools.com.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data when you visit or use WebModTools, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as implemented in the Netherlands (AVG) and applicable ePrivacy rules for cookies and similar technologies.
3. What we process
3.1 Automatically collected technical data
When you use network tools or our Edge APIs, Cloudflare may process request metadata such as IP address, approximate country, user-agent, and request headers. This is required to deliver the tool output you request (for example “What's My IP” or the IP & Headers Checker).
3.2 Client-side tools
Most tools (JSON formatter, Discord builders, password generator, word counter, converters, etc.) run entirely in your browser. Content you paste into those tools is not uploaded to our servers unless a tool explicitly sends a request you initiate (for example posting a Discord webhook URL you provide).
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies
We store your cookie preference locally. With your consent we may load Google Tag Manager and related Google Analytics / advertising tags. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
3.4 Support email
If you email us, we process the content of your message and your email address to respond and keep a record of the conversation as needed.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Provide the website and tools - legitimate interest and/or performance of a (free) service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).
- Security, abuse prevention, and logging - legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Analytics and advertising cookies - consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / ePrivacy). You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.
- Legal obligations - where we must retain records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
5. Recipients and processors
We use infrastructure and service providers that may process data on our behalf, including:
- Cloudflare, Inc. - hosting, CDN, Workers, and security (edge processing).
- Google - Tag Manager / Analytics / advertising tags, only if you consent.
Where providers process data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
6. Retention
- Cookie consent choice: stored in your browser until you clear it or change preferences.
- Edge request logs / security telemetry: retained according to Cloudflare and our operational needs, typically for a limited period.
- Support emails: kept as long as needed to handle your request and for legitimate follow-up.
- Analytics data (if consented): according to the retention configured in Google Analytics.
7. Your rights
Under the AVG / GDPR you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- erase data (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- data portability (where applicable);
- withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing);
- lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
To exercise these rights, contact dnd@webmodtools.com.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, Cloudflare edge security features, and a serverless architecture that minimizes server-side storage of tool payloads. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please avoid submitting secrets to third-party webhooks or tools unless you intend to.
9. Children
WebModTools is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it where required.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes awareness of the updated policy.
